Day 21 - Ndumo to Ermelo (13/10)

Most of the day was spent doing the hard yards halfway back to Joburg. Not without incident as, first, a halfwit tried to drive us off the road (luckily our car was undamaged after we took precautionary avoidance measures and drove into the side-bank) then we came upon 2nd-gear, crawl-along fog which made for an unnerving drive after afore-mentioned halfwit...

Before all that excitement though, a very pleasant morning : first thing, we found another hide overlooking a quiet little pan, and waved goodbye to Ndumo Reserve and a few last residents

obviously missed some inhabitants who left their traces behind...

before that fog set in!

On top of which, darkness was also falling as we crawled along at 20km per hour.  We decided to abandon best-laid plans and make camp in a campsite-cum-hotel in Ermelo. Bizarrely, the patron told us she's hostin' a huntin', shootin', fishin' party but meanwhile we should expect the resident tame antelope to visit us at some stage...
