Most of the day
was spent doing the hard yards halfway back to Joburg. Not without
incident as, first, a halfwit tried to drive us off the road (luckily
our car was undamaged after we took precautionary avoidance measures and
drove into the side-bank) then we came upon 2nd-gear, crawl-along fog
which made for an unnerving drive after afore-mentioned halfwit...
Before all that excitement though, a very pleasant morning : first thing, we found another hide overlooking a quiet little pan, and waved goodbye to Ndumo Reserve and a few last residents
before that fog set in!
On top of which, darkness was also falling as we crawled along at 20km per hour. We decided to abandon best-laid plans and make camp in a campsite-cum-hotel in Ermelo. Bizarrely, the patron told us she's hostin' a huntin', shootin', fishin' party but meanwhile we should expect the resident tame antelope to visit us at some stage...
