Day 22 - Ermelo to Joburg to Windhoek, Namibia (14/10)

So, farewell Joburg, hello Windhoek.

The day started with some oddities though on our way to Ermelo to Joburg - the promised resident antelope did make himself known as we breakfasted

those horns may look small but they're sharp when he wants some attention!

And we finally found a post office to send off some postcards to the UK and foreign parts (same 6R 5c whatever your destination, incidentally), only to be told by the (v apologetic) postmaster that the sorting offices have been on strike for 9 weeks and, while my cards absolutely would make it eventually, not to hold my breath.  You have been warned!!

The last day always ends with trying to find the car-hire depot!  Having left ourselves loads of time (we got lost leaving the depot!), of course D's "I think this feels right" proved to be bang on and we had time for a leisurely luncheon (albeit last scraps in the car-park!)

And then another SAA flight 1 3/4 hours to Windhoek - landing in a balmy night.  We may well have seen the last of the drizzle....
